Overview
Our client is an industry leader in the supplying and cleaning of reusable layer pads made of plastic, since 1985 for leading 'Blue Chip' clients such as Bacardi, Budweiser, Coca-Cola and Heineken. The plastic layer pads are used in the industrial applications for stacking glass, pet bottles, cans and other containers.
Duties
As Production Manager the successful candidate will be actively involved in the management, maintenance, planning and operation of the company's enlarged 24 hr wash process facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven engineering background with the ability to manage the wash process facility and equipment. You will be instrumental in the management of the production department leading production personnel in achieving demanding quality and production targets.
Job Description
Familiar with ISO9001/ 2000 Quality standards
Planning and completion of process machinery servicing / repairs.
Control of spare parts inventory and ordering.
Overall control of cleaning process.
Completion of maintenance and cleaning records.
Manage, lead and control production / warehouse personnel/ Operators in the performance of their duties.
Education/ Academic Background
Qualified within an Engineering discipline
Understanding of H & S issues
Apprentice trained (preferred)
Additional Requirements
Full car driving licence
Counter balance forklift licence
Flexibility in working hours
Basic I.T systems knowledge ( Windows, Word, Excel etc)
Experience/ background in an engineering environment
