Design Manager\n\nLondon (Hybrid Working)\n\n£70,000 – £80,000 + Package\n\nA growing Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their team, working across a portfolio of residential schemes in London.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex fire remediation, cladding replacement, and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with the latest Building Safety regulations.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will take ownership of design delivery through to completion, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to drive programmes and ensure technical excellence. You’ll be involved in projects ranging from cladding remediation to new build residential with the initial focus being legacy projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead design coordination across architects, structural, and MEP consultants from feasibility through to completion.\n\t\nManage the design process on remediation projects including fire safety and cladding packages.\n\t\nEnsure compliance with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and relevant regulations.\n\t\nReview and approve drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.\n\t\nLiaise with Building Control, warranty providers, and statutory authorities to secure approvals.\n\t\nCoordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure programme and quality targets are achieved.\n\t\nProvide technical support to delivery teams and oversee design-related issues on site.\n\t\nMonitor works to ensure compliance with design intent and safety standards.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Design Manager or similar within a Main Contractor environment.\n\t\nStrong background in residential schemes, New build, remediation, refurbishment, or fire safety projects.\n\t\nSolid understanding of Building Safety Act, Gateway processes, and compliance requirements.\n\t\nExperience managing consultants and complex design packages.\n\t\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nPackage\n\n£70,000 – £80,000 basic salary\n\t\nCar allowance\n\t\nPension\n\t\nPrivate healthcare\n\t\nLife insurance\n\t\nHybrid working
